Customer Service Information:

Shipping Policy:

  • In-stock items ordered ship in 24-48 business hours. You can confirm stock status by calling 480-894-6277 or by sending an e-mail to info@ScienceofSpeed.com. Please inquiry on stock status BEFORE purchasing. Once a purchase is made online, we can not cancel an order due to stock status if the customer has not first inquired on stock status.

  • Certain products are special order from Japan. Items not in stock will typically take 2-6 weeks to arrive in the United States depending on the item. Please call or e-mail for up-to-date stock status on an item.

  • All products are shipped with signature required to the billing address (or alternate shipping address that you have arranged to be on file with credit card provider). This is a required policy of your credit card provider and we can not deviate from this policy. We apologize in advance for any inconvenience this may cause. We can provide a tracking number for you to schedule direct pickup.

  • Any shipments returned to ScienceofSpeed by shipper due to non-delivery are subject to redelivery costs.

  • Certain products are built-to-order, and require additional processing time.

  • We are not responsible for loss or theft of an item once it is out of our facility.

  • Shipping insurance is included in the cost of the shipping. If an item is damaged in transit, the claim must be initiated by the customer with the carrier within 2 business days of receipt of the item.

  • For products purchased online, shipping may be need to be calculated manually if an online quote is not available. You can always call in for the least expensive shipping available for multiple purchases.

  • Some items may be drop shipped directly from our vendors in the case we are out of stock on an item.

Freight Shipping:

  • Many items we offer are too large for conventional shipping, and must be shipped via a freight company. These include items that are very large or very heavy and include among others: bumpers, transmissions, body panels, etc. These items must be shipped to a business address. Residential shipping is available for an extra $25.00. Residential shipping may add an additional 2 days for delivery. Delivery time varies on average between 1-5 days.

  • Freights quotes are estimates only. We will determine final value when item ships.

  • Engine and transmissions must be shipped clean and dry. Transmissions & engines should be strapped and/or bolted to a pallet with sufficient padding. Engines must be shipped with a proper engine crate. Crates used by ScienceofSpeed will require a core charge to be included.

International Customers:

  • We are happy to ship our products to customers outside of the United States. Please e-mail for shipping quotes. International customers should expect additional time for export document preparation of the order due to special requirements for international shipping.

  • Freight exports to international destinations are quoted using door to door (business destinations only) or door to airport. Door to door quotes include shipping, customs clearance, processing fees, and delivery charges at destination. It does not include customs duties charged by your country. Door to airport quotes include shipping only. Customs clearance, processing fees, delivery at destination, and customs duties charged by your country are not included.

Payment Policy:

  • Personal checks, money orders, and cashier's checks are accepted. Personal checks (including checking account drafts via PayPal) will be held until cleared (averages 5 business days). Money orders and cashier's checks are preferred.

  • We accept credit card payments online as well as over the phone. We utilize PayPal secure processing services for online transactions.

  • International payments accepted via wire transfer and PayPal. We can not accept credit card purchases from outside the USA and Canada. Credit card purchases through PayPal may not be acceptable for purchases made through certain countries. Please inquire with questions.

  • Returned checks will incur and $25.00 fee.

  • Any refund over $200.00 will be made by check.

  • If a replacement refund check is requested and the original must be stopped, a stop payment fee will be deducted.

  • Payments for in-stock items must be paid in full in advance of shipping.

  • We accept a 50% deposit for special order or non-stock items. Once items are in stock, orders must be paid for in full within 48 business hours or items will be returned into inventory. Any payments made will be refunded back to customer minus restocking fees noted below.

  • Products and services must be pre-paid. We do not offer COD services.

Core Return Policy:

  • We offer a core exchange policy that allows our customers to minimize downtime of their vehicles. Core charges are refundable under certain conditions. Core returns must be returned within 30 days of receipt of the core to be eligible for refund.

  • Please allow 2-3 business days for inspection.

  • Cores will be inspected for condition and the core deposit will be refunded upon inspection. If the core does not pass inspection, we will contact the customer with our report.

  • Where possible, ScienceofSpeed will utilize core engine assemblies and core transmission assemblies for most timely turn around. Customers may request for cores to not be used - which may impact our turn around time for the finished product.

  • By purchasing these products, you agree to the terms and conditions of the core return.

Warranty Policy:

Service Policy:

  • The minimum diagnosis fee is .5 hr.

  • Labor rate for customer supplied parts is additional.

  • A storage fee of $15.00 per day applies to any car left within 2 business days of completion.

  • Quotes are provided to customers before projects can begin. These quotes are based on our best knowledge of the projectís cost. However, these costs may change for a variety of circumstances. We will inform customers of changes in the quotes for costs resulting in more than a $200.00 difference.

Return Policy:

  • No refunds on special order and built-to-order items. Please inquiry BEFORE purchasing if you have a question on if this policy applies to your product.

  • New, unused items, in original unopened packaging may be returned within 30 days from delivery date unless otherwise noted (does not apply to special order or built-to-order items). A 20% restocking fee will be deducted from your credit. Shipping charges are non-refundable.

  • Deposits placed on built-to-order or custom made products are non-refundable.

  • Returns can only be made by contacting us for an RMA number. Please e-mail info@ScienceofSpeed.com to request a number.

  • Installed, opened, painted, scratched, or otherwise damaged items may not be returned.

  • Items on sale, clearance, or used items are non-returnable & non-refundable.
